Taking America Back

While mom and I do the paper route, we normally listen to a local talk radio morning show. Well, last week they were giving away tickets to the 10th caller. Now my sister, Chastanie, wins those kinda things off the radio ALL-THE-TIME but I never have any luck. (She even won a casket signed by the the members of KISS one halloween. She made enough money off of that thing on ebay to get new carpet!!☺) Well, I decided to go ahead and give it a try and this time I actually was the 10th caller! I won 2 tickets to Glenn Beck's Taking America Back tour and an autographed copy of his new book The Overton Window. I don't get to listen to Glenn Beck's show very often because we don't have cable and I can not get the local AM radio station on any of my radios except in the car but the times I have heard it, I have enjoyed. I always learn something from him and he causes me to have a desire to learn more. I would have to say-that is a good thing! Since Monty is not as interested in spending 3 hours on a Saturday afternoon listening to some political speech, my mom was more than happy to go with me.

The show was hosted by John Rich from the country music group Big and Rich. He spoke between each of the other speakers. He was very good and spoke a lot to the Christians in the audience. He said that 10 million professing Christians did NOT vote in the last presidential election and reminded us all that evil prevails when good men do nothing. I was also glad to hear him give a challenge to any preachers in the audience. He told them that if they were scared to preach the hard hitting lessons from the Bible for fear of offending someone-they were the problem. Our country and our world needs revival and that needs to start at the pulpit.

Next we heard from Carl Rove. His message was not filled with humor but just the facts. He basically crunched the numbers for us all. He explained how the government counts a savings from one area as savings but still uses that money in another area. They are basically counting the same money twice to make the picture seem a little better than it really is. He broke down the spending from the stimulus and the Obamacare and really showed how NONE OF IT MAKES ANY SENSE. No matter what pretty words you use to describe these things-the numbers never lie and the numbers do not show a pretty picture for our country.

Of course Glenn Beck was the main speaker and he had his trusty chalkboard on stage to go over news of the day. He spent a lot of time trying to get everyone to realize just how much of our true history has been rewritten or deleted from what we are being taught now. He stressed how important it is to learn things and research for yourself instead of just eating everything you are fed by government run schools or the media. He gave several historical examples like a bombing in Manhattan in 1916 that can only be compared to Pearl Harbor or 9/11 but nobody has ever heard of. He reminded us that if you do not learn from history you are doomed to repeat it. He gave lots of examples from history where other countries have gone down similar paths that we are on now and that path never ends well. Glenn also gave a challenge to all Christians. We know that God is the answer but we can never expect our country to get back to the great land that it once was if we continue to let them push the Answer further and further out. We have got to stop letting them remove God from our government, our schools, our country, and eventually our lives.

Lastly, there was a special guest. Joe the Plumber. He was really good and it really meant a lot to hear him challenge us all knowing that he is just an everyday guy. Not a professional public speaker, an ex-government employee, not some rich country music singer but just a regular guy that is a plumber and got thrown into the spot light because he asked a presidential candidate a question that the main stream media was to afraid to ask. He encouraged us all to "look it up!" Look up the voting records and past writings of all our candidates. Research what they believe BEFORE we vote for them. Stop sitting in the side lines and then complaining when things get even worse. He stressed that as Christians our job is to serve the Lord and as Americans our job is to serve our country. We can not do either effectively if we always do or believe what others say but never learn it ourselves. He addressed the fact that many people tell him he should have just kept him mouth shut when he met Obama and he would have been saved the grief of being drug through the mud by the media. He assured us that the little bit of persecution he has or will have to suffer is nothing that he can not handle. He reminded us of some of the things the 12 disciples had to go through which really makes the little inconviences or hurt feelings we may go through when we stand for God and our beliefs seem so petty.

Mom and I had a blast and learned a lot. It really did seem like we were kinda at school and then kinda at church. I feel encouraged that so many Americans eyes seem to be opening about the condition of our country and I have real hope that we could see another great awaking. I know that my God is powerful enough to bring our country back to what it was started on if the people's hearts are willing to listen and then to act.

TEA for Christmas

Big government to all, constituents be damned.

STILL THINK THEY AREN'T LYING TO US?!?

Haven't the president and speaker of the house and others been reassuring us that the life ending, healthcare rationing talks that those crazy. Nazi, kkk member, conservatives have been talking about is nothing but fear mongering and hatred and there is no truth to these rumors? How, then, do they explain this www.cbsnews.com story?

health overhaul legislation after language in a House bill caused a furor.
Senator Chuck Grassley of Iowa, top Republican on the Senate Finance Committee,
said in a statement Thursday that the provision had been dropped from
consideration because it could be misinterpreted or implemented incorrectly. A
health care bill passed by three House committees allows Medicare to reimburse
doctors for voluntary counseling sessions about end-of-life decisions. But
critics have claimed the provision could lead to death panels and euthanasia for
seniors. The Senate Finance Committee is still working to complete a bill.

Yeah! Just What She Said!

This whole healthcare reform bill is really scary. I have not had the chance to read the whole thing but I do have a link to it that I can go back to as time permits. What I have read is frightening and dare I say evil. Our president is telling the citizens to stop listening to the protesters and the conservative radio hosts and basically just listen to him. Every time I hear Obama talk he sounds more and more like Big Brother and I don't like it. It just amazes me that anyone would still put one ounce of trust in this guy. I am telling ya, the majority of the remarks I have heard from protesters of Obama's healthcare reform are RIGHT ON. Their objections come straight from the words in this bill and Obama is lying to people that have not and probably will not read it for themselves. Redink has a terrific post about the difference in gaining information and actually applying knowledge. More Americans need to start applying some knowledge to their decisions instead of just soaking up information and calling themselves smart. You can make an educated decision on this bill without having to read all 1200 or so pages of it if you just apply the principles redink has spelled out for us. Please head on over and read what she has to say because she has laid it all out perfectly-way better than I would be able to.

Till death do us part

Well, it is official-Monty thinks I have completely lost it. When he got home from work last night I asked "Honey? I have to ask you a question. Are you ready and willing to revoke our state marriage license?"
"WHAT!?! So you want to get a divorce?!? I DON"T THINK SO!"
Let me explain....

I got my No Greater Joy magazine this week and it contained a very interesting article by Michael Pearl titled "Holy Matrimony". He talked about the history of marriage. Of course marriage is the oldest institution on earth having been created by God with Adam and Eve. There was no preacher to preform a ceremony and there sure wasn't a judge around. Marriage was a covenant between a man and a woman. As a matter of fact, judges and preachers were not a part of marriage for the first 5 centuries. It wasn't until the Catholic church, in their fight to stop protestants, ruled that only marriages performed by a priest in the church would be valid. This was the first transfer of marital authority from the hands of the people to the hands of the church. The next step was to transfer that authority to the state in the form of state issued marriage license. God is the one that brings 2 people together and no man is supposed to be able to put that union asunder. As Mr. Pearl points out "To receive from the state a license to marry is to acknowledge the state's supremacy over marriage. What it licenses, it can un-license." Now that the state has taken the authority to grant permission for couples to marry, they are in control of deciding who qualifies. Although marriage has been between a man and a women in every country, in every culture, and in every religion since the beginning of time the state is now redefining it to include homosexuals. Several states have already accomplished this and more will follow. Since their state issued license is the same as mine(except for the fact there are no longer signatures for the bride and groom but rather subject A and subject B) essentially they are saying that my marriage is the same-both legal and licensed. Only problem is God says no it is not! Mine is ordained by God and theirs is an abomination before God. We are not going to be able to stop the government from redefining marriage-just look at California, "we the people" said no but the government said yes and they are still in a heated battle-plus our president has said he is committed to overturning DOMA, Bush's act to protect marriage. Michael Pearl proposes that when your state does join in the same sex marriage parade, write to your state and revoke the state issued marriage license they issued. This is not a divorce but an acknowledgement that the state did not/does not/and will not have jurisdiction over your marriage. You can then write a document (or covenant) between you and your spouse including when and where your marriage took place ordained by God until death do you part and have it notarized and filed at the court house. Mr. Pearl has asked for any lawyer that may read his magazine and who is willing to draw up a private contract document that can be offered for free to contact him. He also shared that all but one of his children have been married by private contract instead of state issued license and they all have status of being legally married.

So I say-Makes perfect sense to me! We have been indoctrinated so heavily by the government our whole lives, we do not even question the fact that we essentially asked permission to get married. We asked the STATE if it was ok to marry the person that GOD had brought to us. God says it is not good for man to be alone. God says the man leaves his parents and cleaves to his wife. God says two shall become one. Why are we asking the state for permission to do what God has already ordained and has told us to do? Who's authority are we supposed to live our lives under? I know we must give to Caesar what is Caesar's but our marriage belongs to God not the government. Our children belong to God not the government. Our hearts belong to God not the government. Why are we so willing to hand our lives over to man but it is "radical" to give our life back to the One that gave it to us?


Monty is still pondering my newest "anti-government-pro Bible, extreme and unconventional" kinda thought but he is used to it. I have them quite often and love sharing them-hmmm I really should start carrying my camera when I first ask him these things-that's fun times:). I am not trying to change him(like I discussed earlier that I sometimes do) but advance both of our thoughts to be more centered on God and His plan for our family. Since I am the one with a little more time (and desire) for reading, I come across lots of different notions. I just plant the seeds and God does the rest and since we live in one of the most conservative states in the country he probably has a few years longer than others to contemplate before this one is an issue. I tell ya-between me and God-we'll make a fundamentalist outta that man yet-hehehe!

Homeschool-my newest baby

I have only been a homeschool mom for a short time, we just finished our second homeschool year, but I have to say the way homeschooling has captured my heart can only be described as the same type of feeling you get when your new born baby is first placed in your arms-your heart instantly swells with love and all of a sudden all seems right with the world(at least your world!). You know immediately that nothing could take that love from you and you would go to the ends of the earth doing whatever necessary to protect this infant. These feelings come over you and you realize "This is it! This is what I was created for!". Your purpose in life becomes a little more clear. Yeah, that's about how homeschooling feels-like my newest baby. Just like in child rearing, homeschooling starts off with family members, friends and even strangers that really believe they know better than you and like to tell you exactly what you should be doing. Spunky shares a great example of this and adds her own rebuttal to each argument(be sure to read everyones comements as well). Just like in raising my children, I know that I know them-I know what homeschool is and why we do it and why it is the only way. That is one that all mothers/homeschoolers experience pretty early on and each new piece of "advice" strengthens your convictions and confirms that, even though you will make mistakes, you are doing it the right way when you are making God guided decisions with motherly love so you quietly listen to each person rattle off the reasons you should be doing this and definitely not do that and you let their rants slide right out your other ear and go home and raise your baby the way you know is best. That issue has never been too tough for me, I've never been one to crumble easily and follow the crowd doing what others say I should just assuming that they must know more than me. It is the second big issue that has really gotten to me now. Like every new mother, you have those moments when you feel so inadequate. How will you know what to do when this new baby gets sick? How will you ever be able to see that this child makes it all the way to adulthood? What do you do when the road gets REALLY rough and you feel so unprepared and inexperienced? Those are the feelings I am having now with homeschooling. Again I must go back to another recent post by Spunky about one more way the government is trying to take the state's rights away, gain complete federal control over educating American children, and create an even BIGGER government.(if you are not already a spunky reader-I highly recommend it! she is great!!) As we all know, America has recently elected a new president-Barack Obama. The thing I am surprised so many people do not know(or worse, know it but don't care) is that we are heading straight towards becoming a socialist/communist country fast. I really should not be surprised that others don't understand that. After graduating from public high school and attending 2 years of college, I never really knew the ingredients that make up socialism until I decided to homeschool and in turn started reading and researching everything from laws to learning styles to history to public school statistics to what socialization really is and the list goes on. So like a new mother that watches children all around her getting sicker and sicker and trys to learn how to ward off this disease and protect her child at the same time trying to learn everything about the disease and preparing to fight it because all signs point to the probability that her child will eventually get sick as well, I feel inadequate and unprepared. How can I ward of this disease of socialism and keep it as far away from my homeschool as possible? If prevention is not possible, how will I be able to do what I know I must and prevent sure death of my precious homeschool? How do I prepare for something I have never seen first hand, something no one else I know has personally experienced? Like the first sign of fever in your tiny infant, all the most extreme horrible possibilities are rolling through my head but that is something we have all been through. Full on socialism and government control of every aspect of our lives is not. You can call on any number of friends for advice on what they did and how they got through that first fever. I feel totally in the dark with no one on earth to call on to save and protect my homeschool. Again, like my own children, I must place my homeschool in the Lord's hands knowing that He does have a plan and all though He never promises that it will be easy, He does promise that He will always be with us and equip us to endure whatever may come. He is the only comfort available for these unknown waters. I know He is gonna be there and I just wanted to be sure that you would be too.

Tax Day Field Trip

On April 15th, tax day, the kids and I took a field trip to the state capital to participate in the Tea Party. It was really a great opportunity for a history lesson. We have not covered American history yet, so nobody had heard of the Boston tea party. We looked up lots of information on line and saw pictures(or drawings) of the tea being thrown in the harbor. We learned about how the governments role is supposed to be to protect the United States not to provide healthcare, stimulate the economy, bail out bad business deals, etc. The kids understand, more than many adults, that they want to be able to keep what they earn and therefore want others to be able to do the same. We also discussed how just like we were all learning about the Boston Tea party, someday they will be teaching their own children about the Tea Parties of 2009. They were apart of history in the making and are also learning how to stand up for what you believe. Here are some photos of our day...

TEA-Taxed Enough Already!!

If you get your information only from main stream media than you probably have not heard much about the tea parties that have been popping up at state capitals all across the country in rememberance of The Boston Tea Party. I know that there has been one already at the capital in Oklahoma City and I believe there are plans for more in the future. Just like early Americans took a stand against taxation without representation, it is time for us to take a stand and let our government know that we are Taxed Enough Already!! It is time for them to STOP THE SPENDING and start representing the people in this country. I think that the tea party protests that are occuring on state capital building steps all over America are a great place to start and I am hoping to be able to participate in the future. If your are interested, all you have to do is search the web for "tea party" in your state and I'm sure you'll find tons of info. I also wanted to encourage all of you to mail a tea bag to the president this week. By April 15th, the white house should be FULL of tea bags from all 50 states with notes to STOP THE SPENDING! Help send a message to President Obama that we are TAXED ENOUGH ALREADY!

TEA PARTY IN OKLAHOMA!! (invitation)

My name is Tessa Breder and I'm currently serving as Chairman of the OU College Republicans. We're having a campus tea party Monday, April 13, 2009, at the University of Oklahoma. Invitation: We would love to have ANYONE who is interested in attending--this is NOT limited to students. In other words, enraged citizens of all ages are encouraged to come out and join us. OU's Tea Party shares the same goal of gaining attention to protest the outrageous way in which our tax dollars are being spent, but also to promote the Oklahoma City Tea Party which will take place only two days later. I Did My Part!

I sent out my 10 red envelopes to President Obama. Instead of writing the message on the back of the envelope, I wrote it just inside and I put a blank 3x5 card in each one in case the post office doesn't process empty envelopes. I wanted to do everything I could to make sure they reach their destination at 1600 Pennsylvania Ave. I just wish that I believed that they would make a positive impact on Mr. Obama's thinking concerning our unborn citizens. I have to admit that I have serious doubts that it will but just like God says His word never comes back void, I don't believe this work will either. We may never see it but something is bound to happen with all the red envelopes going through the mail at once. Think of all the people that handle them before they ever make it to the White House. All the postal workers. It will affect somebody!! I believe that.

I got this email today and decided to share. It is truly that simple! If this letter was given with every pink slip handed out due to the horrible economy, maybe then people would get a clue and start holding our government responsible for the part they are playing in destroying our country. Why ANYONE would believe for a second that the crazy stimulus packages that seem to be happening daily are ever gonna do one single bit of good is beyond me! To quote Judge Judy-"If it don't make sense-IT AIN'T TRUE!" Well the stimulus/bailouts DON'T MAKE SENSE!

To All My Valued Employees,
There have been some rumblings around the office about the future of this company, and more specifically, your job. As you know, the economy has changed for the worse and presents many challenges. However, the good news is this: The economy doesn't pose a threat to your job. What does threaten your job however, is the changing political landscape in this country. However, let me tell you some little tidbits of fact which might help you decide what is in your best interests. First, while it is easy to spew rhetoric that casts employers against employees, you have to understand that for every business owner there is a back story. This back story is often neglected and overshadowed by what you see and hear. Sure, you see me park my Mercedes outside. You've seen my big home at last years Christmas party. I'm sure; all these flashy icons of luxury conjure up some idealized thoughts about my life. However, what you don't see is the back story.. I started this company 28 years ago. At that time, I lived in a 300 square foot studio apartment for 3 years. My entire living apartment was converted into an office so I could put forth 100% effort into building a company, which by the way, would eventually employ you. My diet consisted of Ramen Pride noodles because every dollar I spent went back into this company. I drove a rusty Toyota Corolla with a defective transmission. I didn't have time to date. Often times, I stayed home on weekends, while my friends went out drinking and partying. In fact, I was married to my business -- hard work, discipline, and sacrifice.. Meanwhile, my friends got jobs. They worked 40 hours a week and made a modest $50K a year and spent every dime they earned. They drove flashy cars and lived in expensive homes and wore fancy designer clothes. Instead of hitting the Nordstrom's for the latest hot fashion item, I was trolling through the Goodwill store extracting any clothing item that didn't look like it was birthed in the 70's. My friends refinanced their mortgages and lived a life of luxury. I, however, did not. I put my time, my money, and my life into a business with a vision that eventually, some day, I too, will be able to afford these luxuries my friends supposedly had.. So, while you physically arrive at the office at 9am, mentally check in at about noon, and then leave at 5pm, I don't. There is no "off" button for me. When you leave the office, you are done and you have a weekend all to yourself. I unfortunately do not have the freedom. I eat, and breathe this company every minute of the day. There is no rest. There is no weekend. There is no happy hour. Every day this business is attached to my hip like a 1 year old special-needs child. You, of course, only see the fruits of that garden -- the nice house, the Mercedes, the vacations... You never realize the back story and the sacrifices I've made.. Now, the economy is falling apart and I, the guy that made all the right decisions and saved his money, have to bail-out all the people who didn't. The people that overspent their paychecks suddenly feel entitled to the same luxuries that I earned and sacrificed a decade of my life for. Yes, business ownership has is benefits but the price I've paid is steep and not without wounds. Unfortunately, the cost of running this business, and employing you, is starting to eclipse the threshold of marginal benefit and let me tell you why: I am being taxed to death and the government thinks I don't pay enough. I have state taxes. Federal taxes. Property taxes. Sales and use taxes. Payroll taxes. Workers compensation taxes. Unemployment taxes.. Taxes on taxes. I have to hire a tax man to manage all these taxes and then guess what? I have to pay taxes for employing him. Government mandates and regulations and all the accounting that goes with it, now occupy most of my time. On Oct 15th, I wrote a check to the US Treasury for $288,000 for quarterly taxes. You know what my "stimulus" check was? Zero. Nada. Zilch. The question I have is this: Who is stimulating the economy? Me, the guy who has provided 14 people good paying jobs and serves over 2,200,000 people per year with a flourishing business? Or, the single mother sitting at home pregnant with her fourth child waiting for her next welfare check? Obviously, government feels the latter is the economic stimulus of this country. The fact is, if I deducted (Read: Stole) 50% of your paycheck you'd quit and you wouldn't work here. I mean, why should you? That's nuts. Who wants to get rewarded only 50% of their hard work? Well, I agree which is why your job is in jeopardy. Here is what many of you don't understand ... to stimulate the economy you need to stimulate what runs the economy. Had suddenly government mandated to me that I didn't need to pay taxes, guess what? Instead of depositing that $288,000 into the Washington black-hole, I would have spent it, hired more employees, and generated substantial economic growth. My employees would have enjoyed the wealth of that tax cut in the form of promotions and better salaries. But you can forget it now. When you have a comatose man on the verge of death, you don't defibrillate and shock his thumb thinking that will bring him back to life, do you? Or, do you defibrillate his heart? Business is at the heart of America and always has been. To restart it, you must stimulate it, not kill it. Suddenly, the power brokers in Washington believe the poor of America are the essential drivers of the American economic engine. Nothing could be further from the truth and this is the type of change you can keep. So where am I going with all this? It's quite simple. If any new taxes are levied on me, or my company, my reaction will be swift and simple. I fire you. I fire your co-workers. You can then plead with the government to pay for your mortgage, your SUV, and your child's future. Frankly, it isn't my problem any more. Then, I will close this company down, move to another country, and retire. You see, I'm done. I'm done with a country that penalizes the productive and gives to the unproductive. My motivation to work and to provide jobs will be destroyed, and with it, will be my citizenship. If you lose your job, it won't be at the hands of the economy; it will be at the hands of a political hurricane that swept through this country, steamrolled the constitution, and will have changed its landscape forever. If that happens, you can find me sitting on a beach, retired, and with no employees to worry about....

Qualities of Leadership
Can you imagine working at the following Company? It has a little over 500 employees with the following statistics:

29 have been accused of spousal abuse
7 have been arrested for fraud
19 have been accused of writing bad checks
117 have bankrupted at least two businesses
3 have been arrested for assault
71 cannot get a credit card due to bad credit
14 have been arrested on drug-related charges
8 have been arrested for shoplifting
21 are current defendants in lawsuits
84 were stopped for drunk driving

Can you guess which organization this is?
It's the 535 members of the United States Congress. The same group that perpetually cranks out hundreds upon hundreds of new laws designed to keep the rest of us in line.

Assuming that each number represents one person, that is OVER half. Only problem is that many of the congressmen are probably represented in more than one area of this statistical report. And people are putting all their "HOPE" into this crowd to bring about positive "CHANGE" in their lives and in our country?!?! I have always been told not to seek marriage advice from someone that is divorced and don't ask a broke guy questions about saving and spending so why are millions of Americans waiting for these criminals to clean up the corruption and greed and fix our economy and the rest of the world's woes? Mail for the President

I got this comment on another post and wanted to share. It sounds like a good idea to me, so go out and get your envelopes and get ready to mail them to president Obama....

Hi, I was wanting to email you, but I didnt know how, so I thought I'd
leave you a message on your blog. and if your interested in participating you
could put it on the main page so others can see it and participate. I plan to
put it on my blog as well, but its a new blog I just started a week or two ago,
and have very few people who see it, so I would like to get this out to friends

ARE YOU KIDDING ME!?!?

I just turned the tv on a minute ago and discovered that our president is holding a news conference. Now it is no secret that I did not want Barack Obama to be our president. I do not like his stance on just about EVERY issue there is and I am concerned that his policies will do way more harm to our country than anything; but that is beside the point. He is our president. He is the leader of the free world. He is in control of protecting a nation(just a note-that is really all he is supposed to be doing, not supporting, or funding, or ruling over but protecting but once again I digress). He is President of the UNITED STATES OF AMERICA-the strongest, riches, most blessed country in the world. We as a country are in a huge mess. Our financial systems are failing us, our housing systems are failing, people around the world want to kill us, we are in the middle of a war. Needless to say these are not the best of times. President Obama has promise to solve all of our problems. He is the leader that we have and his decisions will affect us all. He is the Top Dog right now so I stopped to listen. Was there another crisis? Has something happened to our country? What was it that he had to tell us. He was taking questions from the journalists in the audience and this is what I heard....

Journalist(I believe it said he was from the wall street journal):"Mr President, What is your reaction to Alex Rodriguez admitting that he had taken steroids when he was with the Texas Rangers?"

IS HE SERIOUS!!!
THE PRESIDENT OF THE U.S. AND ALL YOU WANT TO KNOW IS HIS REACTION TO ANOTHER PROFESSIONAL BASEBALL PLAYER FINALLY ADMITTING HE USED DRUGS?? WHO GIVES A FLIP WHAT THE PRESIDENT THINKS ABOUT BASEBALL. DO NOT HOLD A NEWS CONFERENCE THAT IS ON EVERY SINGLE CHANNEL AND ASK THE PRESIDENT WHAT HE THINKS ABOUT SOME OVER-PRICED CELEBRITY BALL PLAYER AND THE DRUG HABIT THAT MOST OF AMERICA PROBABLY ALREADY ASSUMED HE HAD ANYWAY EVEN BEFORE HE FESSED UP. just a note-I am sure the entire news conference was not about A-rod but that was the question I heard and I did not stick around to hear the answer. It just disgusted me soooo much. The reason Mr Obama made it to the white house to begin with was in large part due to the journalists asking stupid, nonsense, who cares, it makes no difference in anything and tells us nothing about the man or his policies or his belief kinda questions during the election season.
It just makes me so sad for my country!

Inhofe for President!?!?

Newsmax.com ran a story today about our own republican Senator Jim Inhofe. Inhofe has been very outspoken about the fact that he did not and does not support the bail outs that seem to be happening on a daily basis now. I hear Senator Inhofe on the morning radio show-Mullins in the morning KTOK 1000-periodically and I am really glad that we have him in Washington representing us. He seems to hold true to the conservative values he was elected with and listens to what the people that he represents say. I only wish there were more like him there!!! It is so good to hear someone speak out against the government running amuck. Of course we only hear about it on talk radio or conservative internet news sites-we wouldn't want the world to know there are actually a lot of people that hold true to conservative values. The media would have us believe it is just a few backwoods hicks that still feel that way and therefore there is no need to even acknowledge them. Well I am proud to be one of them and am glad we have politicians from our state not afraid to call things as they are...outrageous! Here is part of what he had to say to newsmax.(colorful emphasis was added by me!)

because all he has to do is veto the resolution of disapproval and then” the
votes are there to override the veto.
“So it’s a fait accompli,” he added.
“It is done. We’re going to have another $350 billion to add to the first $350
billion.
“And I think there are a lot of smart economists who have said that nothing really good happened with the first $350 billion.”
Martella asked: “Wasn’t [Treasury Secretary Henry] Paulson supposed
to account for the way he spent the money?”
Inhofe answered: “He was
supposed to account for it. Even worse than that, he promised how it was going
to be spent. He was going to buy damaged assets. That’s what he was going to do.
“Fifteen minutes after he got his hands on the money, he
forgot all about that and never bought any damaged assets and instead bailed out
various banks…
“A lot of Republicans are saying, well that money’s
not gone, he bought preferred stock and it’s going to be paid back with
interest.
“Well that would be awfully nice, but I don’t
think that’s going to happen.”

Don't really know what to say about the election yet so I will just put it to you all the same way I put it to my dear sweet concerned little six year old.

With election coverage playing on the tv, Keslee takes notice of something said and says...

me-Yes we are.
Kes-Oh no! Now do we have to live in a cave? (fyi-she did not get that idea from me but from another child that is a bit older than her)
me-Of Course Not! Why would we have to live in a cave?
Kes-If we lose John McCain, Obama will be the president and we will all have to live in a cave!
me-Is God bigger than the Boogy Man(veggie tales song from a scared in the dark video)

HOW CUTE ARE THEY!?!?!

I have always LOVED cabbage patch dolls! I have 4 of my own-Ginni, Pearl, Fredericka, and Rory. I have passed that love on to Keslee-who now mothers my 4 plus 2 of her own. My dad heard on the radio that these dolls were available on EBAY. He really wanted to get the Sarah doll(yes my dad collects dolls but also he just really loves Sarah) and I would love love love to have all 4. I checked it out for him but found out there is only ONE of each and the proceeds go to a toys for tots charity. The auction will end on election day. With four days left bidding is at......

SPREAD ME SOME WEALTH!!

Obama has talked several times about spreading the wealth around. How we would all benifit from it. Of course all(it seems) of hollywood is backing Obama. Since a large percentage of the wealth is in hollywood, this seems kinda odd to me. Personally I believe that you should be able to keep the money you work so hard for. I am trying to understand why so many wealthy stars are so on board with Obama's socialist views. Aren't these same people a large part of the "freedom of choice" group. Freedom to choose whether or not to have the baby you got pregnant with. Freedom to choose who you want to call your spouse regardless of each parties gender. So why would they not want the freedom to choose to spread their wealth around? Why are they backing a candidate that is going to mandate where and to whom their wealth will go? Do they truly believe that we will all benifit from the spreading of wealth? If they do believe that, why do they need a president to do it for them. It would be more effective if they took it upon themselves and cut out the governmental middle man. For less than $100,000-We could be completely debt free-no house payment-no car payment-no outstandig bills of any kind-and even have a little left over for a nest egg. So here is my proposal..........

Politics in Medicine

What was sooo wrong with the days of old where the doctors were doctors because they truly wanted to help people. When they would make a house call so you did not have to take your sick baby out on a cold winter night to see a doctor. When they would stop by in a few days just to check on their patient and have a cup of hot chocolate with the family. The days that the doctor would accept what you could give because he just wanted to help and you would give all you could because you truly appreciated him. Of course, I have never experienced those days in my lifetime but I have heard the stories. The transaction was between the doctor and the patients family-NOT THE INSURANCE COMPANY AND THE GOVERNMENT. The doctors did it for the love of people and not the love of the money. Things are so ridiculous now and there is nothing in history that will ever make me believe that government controlled health care(Obama's or anyone else's) system will improve one single thing. Insurance requirements are so strict now it is easier to live sick than see the doctor. You can not even see a doctor without filling out about 10 pages of information. If you need a specialist-that is more paperwork and waiting for referrals to go through. You have to be there on the day and time they can see you regardless of your schedule. Don't even think about trying to reschedule! Don't stand too close to the counter, privacy policy, you may hear someone say something. We can't fill this perscription...it has only been 28 days since you had it filled and it can only be filled every 30 days. We can not schedule you an appointment before you pay you outstanding balance of $1.35. When my mother had surgery last year, the doctor would not fill out the FMLA papers she needed to be able to take time off of work DURING her office visit($25 copay). He would only fill them out later and fax it to her job. For this fax (across town, not long distance, only a page or 2, on the same day as her office visit) she was then billed ANOTHER $25 copay. How crazy is that?!?! Well, I took Kalysa to the doctor on Tuesday to see the next step we need to look into about her leg(her muscle is really tight and she walks on her toe). Her medical records were still all at the pediatricians office that she went to when I had insurance through my job. Now we all see a doctor here in town. I asked the receptionist what I needed to do to get her records so that the doctor could see what all we have done in the past. "Oh just sign this medical release form and we can get them for you" I was told. No problem! Wow, something as simple as me signing a paper. This is a little more like it. That afternoon I got a call from her past pediatrician's office..."We received a request for Kalysa's medical records and I just wanted to verify the address of the office you want it sent to." Verified...."We'll get those out"...Thanks! So today is Thursday-just 2 days since our appointment-and I get mail from the pediatrician.......

ARE THEY SERIOUS?!?!?! Why do I have to pay for my own child's medical records? Can they really keep your medical records from you? Don't we have a right to see our medical records whenever we want? Is it not our right to let any future doctor see the records to ensure the best medical care? I am outraged! I am supposed to pay a doctor that my child has not seen in 1 1/2 years for dropping some papers in the mail? Some papers that they recorded information in every time I did take her and they were paid AT THAT TIME for the service. This just really feels like I am being charged for things I have already paid for! If the issue was postage, I could have just as easily picked the records up myself. All they had to do was let me know. Shouldn't I have been informed of the charge? I could have opted out of getting them all together. I mean, I KNOW what all we have done and every detail of what she went through in the NICU. I could have just relayed all the info to the new doctor. I kept journals-my records probably contain most of the same info anyway. Could things get any more ridiculous than this? OH Wait! Of course they could! We could let the government completly control our health care. Things never get better with complete government control! If Obama is our president, and the government is controlling our health care-what all will we be paying then? I know one thing-I am pretty sure I can not afford it!!

I do not go by or trust the polls but I think I would put more stock into this one because it is so random-anyone on yahoo homepage can vote-not mainly democrat-not mainly republican-just random Americans. Also it has almost 40000 respondants(as of 3:50pm today) and not just 1000 hand picked by the pollsters. Dont give up hope!! It has not yet been decided-regardless of what the media trys to tell you-BARAK OBAMA IS NOT OUR PRESIDENT! (and he does not have to be.)
